As you know, solar energy is becoming more and more popular throughout the United States (and the world, really). While we are often focused on how solar energy can benefit the residential homes of America, there is also something to be said about the impact that brands can have by going solar. Many of the brands that made the decision to install solar power at their warehouses, stores and facilities are household brand names. In fact, according to the 3rd annual Solar Means Business report by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) that was released in October, Walmart has held the top spot for the last three years, having installed 105 megawatts of solar energy in 254 locations. Other companies rounding out the Top 25 companies for solar capacity include Kohl's, Costco, Apple, IKEA, Macy's, Johnson & Johnson, Target, McGraw Hill, Staple, Campbell's Soup, U.S. Foods, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kaiser Permanente, Volkswagen, Walgreens, Safeway, FedEx, Intel, L'Oreal, General Motors, Toys "R" Us, Verizon, White Rose Foods, Toyota, and AT">here.
